Have you ever noticed this special little treat, nestled in amongst all the other dull and gloomy building blocks running between Chinatown and the Brunswick Street Mall.

I think I might name this little fella SickyB, ‘cos he is blatantly the sickest brick on the block.

Ain’t he a beaut?

The Sick Brick - Brunswick Street Mall

Of course it’s not true…but it made me laugh.

I guess everyone’s entitled to their own opinion.

Brisbane This Town Sucks But It’s Ours

It’s a typical Queensland summer’s day. Super-dooper-humid since 9am (which is definitely not a blessing when you are moving apartments). And now, as dusk hits, we have a very welcome storm throwing down a few buckets full of the good stuff.

Embrace it Brisvegas!!

Brisbane Storm 3rd December

Here’s where it all happens people…

Jake’s place in the Valley

We had a cracker of a storm this evening! Some wicked lightning coupled with some red dust which has been sucked up into the atmosphere due to a dust-storm out St George way (wherever that is..!).

Crazy colours in the sky from storm in Brisbane

Check out the results…here’s a few photos I took from the balcony of my pad, nestled in downtown Fortitude Valley (…usually the view from my palace is more like a scene from CSI, so this was definitely a pleasant change).
Storm Brisbane Lightning

Well, this arvy was just a treat! The whole vibe around town was just so relaxed and chilled – gotta love lazy Sunday arvos. The usual tunes could be heard floating their way down the Valley mall from our dear old friend Royal Georgey.

I scored this rad photo while the blue skies were doing their thing.

Are there any Brisbanites out there who reckon they can guess where this building is??
